Virat Kohli, RCB and Delhi Capitals is a disappointing a love triangle which is far from getting the one they want – the IPL trophy. Virat Kohli is among the greatest players in the world who has never won the cash-laden tournament and RCB, DC and Punjab Kings are among the 3 franchises who have only reached the Finals in IPL’s 16-year history.

The 3 franchises share 5 IPL finals between them, the exact same number of titles Mumbai Indians have won under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. But the major focus is on Virat Kohli and RCB who bowed out of the 2023 edition after losing their final and most important match of the season against Gujarat Titans.

A win could have guaranteed them a place in the play-offs for a 2nd year in a row but Shubman Gill’s fierce full century while chasing down 197, took the game far away from RCB. In that match, Kohli had also smacked a Century in the first innings but as usual, RCB’s bowling attack failed miserably but not for the first time.

The Royal Challengers eventually lost the game by 5-wickets and 5 balls to spare and after the exit, former RCB and Delhi Capitals captain Kevin Pieterson took to Twitter and asked Virat Kohli to head back home to play for the state where he was actually born.

“Time for VIRAT to make the move to the capital city…!” – Pieterson wrote. The former explosive English Batter’s Tweet quickly circulated all over the Internet as RCB and Kohli fans stormed the comment section with some hilarious replies.
