There is no denying that it has been a roller coaster ride for Delhi Daredevils, now known as Delhi Capitals, in the Indian Premier League. The only team to have not reached final even a single time, Delhi Capitals started their IPL journey on a wonderful note. They reached in the top four in the first two seasons but lost in the semi-finals on both occasions.
After finishing last in the 2011 edition, Delhi Capitals made a superb comeback in 2012. They topped the points table followed by Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings. Sadly, the Virender Sehwag-led unit lost both the qualifiers and thereby missed the chance of reaching the finals on one more occasion.

The following season saw him getting more opportunities to showcase his bowling talent. He played 12 matches and took 8 wickets. He might have not taken enough wickets but was able to build pressure by not conceding too many runs. Nadeem played for Delhi for 8 seasons between 2011 and 2018. He took 40 wickets at an average and economy of 37 and 7.36 respectively.

#4 Chris Morris
South Africa’s all-rounder, Chris Morris is a household name in IPL. He made his debut in 2013 and started playing for Delhi in the 2016 edition of the tournament. He has been a prominent member of the team since.
Having seen his performances over the years, Chris Morris has turned out to be a great asset for the side. He made a valuable contribution in his debut season for Delhi in 2016. Turning up in 12 matches, Morris picked 13 wickets with the ball, besides scoring 195 runs at an average of 65.

#3 Umesh Yadav
Umesh Yadav shot to fame after playing for Delhi Capitals in the 2010 edition of the league. Umesh Yadav, today, has become a household name in international cricket, a huge thanks to his bowling performances for Delhi Capitals in IPL.
Yadav made his debut for Delhi in the 2010 edition. He played seven matches and took 6 wickets at an average of 30.66. He couldn’t do much in the following season but wreaked havoc in the 2012 edition of the tournament. Yadav picked 19 wickets in 17 matches at a strike rate of 19.26.

#2 Morne Morkel
The South African tall and lanky fast bowler was instrumental in his stay with Delhi Daredevils. He was picked for Delhi in the 2011 edition and went onto play till the 2013 edition of the tournament.
In his debut season for Delhi in 2011, Morne picked 13 wickets in 11 matches. His performances weren’t too substantial for the team, as Virender Sehwag-led side finished last.
