Phil Foden is an English professional player who plays as a midfielder for the England under-21 team and Premier League club Manchester City. Foden’s journey in professional football started when he won the FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Ball for his amazing performance.
He was called by Manchester City in 2017. Since his joining he has appeared in 30 matches and has won six honors, including the youngest recipient of a Premier League winners medal, as well as the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League.

Phil was born on 28th May 2000 in Stockport, England. Since childhood, he had a huge passion for football. He, at the age of five, started practising and polishing his football skills to get enrollment in his favorite club academy the Manchester City.

Since his early childhood he has been a fan of Manchester City, at the age of eight he signed Manchester City’s academy in July 2016 and at the same time pursued his education from the St. Bede’s College whose fees were paid by Manchester City itself.
On 6th December 2016 the Man. City coach Pep Guardiola called Phil to debut in the Champions League against the Celtic, but his debut remained as an unused substitute. In 2017 he was included in Manchester City’s squad for the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, but there despite his impressive game play the team lost the match against the Manchester United by 0-2
His squad then was able to register his first win over Real Madrid in a 4-1 win. On 21st November 2017, he played his first match in Champions League game against the Feyenoord and thus became the fourth-youngest player to make an appearance in the Champions League.
On 6th December 2017, he again became the youngest English Player to debt in the UEFA Champions League match. Phil netted his first home goal at the Etihad Stadium in dominant 7-0 victory against the Rotherham United in the third round of the EA Cup on 6th January 2019.
On 20th April 2019, he netted his first Premier League goal in a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur after which he became the third-youngest player to score for the club in the Premier League after Micah Richards.
Phil started playing for his national team as a part of its Under-17 squad. Playing for the squad he assisted the national team to conquer over the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in which he due to his performances throughout the tournament was awarded Golden Ball, due to which he gained overnight attention form media, which became one of the reasons Manchester City signed him.
