Early Life

Rajeshwari was born into a very successful and reputed family, as her father, Randhir Singh, is a sports administrator and her mother, Vinita Singh, is a businesswoman. Having known both the sports and the fashion industry since her childhood, Rajeshwari decided to take up both fields as her career prospects. She started her career in shooting around 2014, after her marriage to Mehtab Singh in 2013.

Since, she had something in her as a businesswoman as well, In the year 2021, Rajeshwari opened her fashion brand, known as Saurab Rajeshwari, with her childhood friend, Saurabh Aggarwal. Rajeshwari’s paternal side was into sports and maternal side was into business hence, she received proper guidance for both the fields and worked hard to achieve something in both fashion as well as sports.

Shooting Career

Kumari’s first major victory in shooting occurred in November 2014, when she won the bronze medal in the National Shotgun Championship in Patiala, Punjab, defeating Shreyasi Singh. She won a silver medal in the National Shooting Championships in February 2015 and a gold medal at the Asian Online Shooting Championship in New Delhi in 2021, and she never looked back.

In 2022, she started training with David Kostelecký, a two-time Olympic medalist. Kumari earned a quota spot for India in the women’s trap event at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics by coming fifth at the ISSF World Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan, in August 2023.

Rajeshwari Kumari is also an Asian Games silver medalist in the women’s trap team event, which she won in the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games. In the 2023 National Games of India, she won a gold medal in the women’s trap shooting category. Rajeshwari is currently ranked as the ninth-ranked women’s trap shooter in the world.
