Tajinder Singh Toor is an Indian shot putter and Asian Games gold medalist who was born on 13th November 1994 in Khosa Pando Village, Moga district, Punjab.
It all started in a small village in Punjab. Tajinder Singh was always interested in sports and wanted to pursue a career in the sports industry. Tajinder Singh was interested in cricket but his father, Karam Singh and his uncle, Guruman Singh who himself was an Indian National champion in the shot put motivated him to choose Shot put as his main sport due to his large physique.
Tajinderpal Singh Toor Professional Life:
Tajinderpal Singh Toor won his first national medal at the Open National Athletics Championships. He won a Bronze medal with a throw of 17.78m. After getting the first medal in his national-level competition there was no looking back for Tajinderpal.
Tajinderpal Singh Toor international debut at the World University Games and finished at the 5th position in the final by throwing 19.24m.

In 2015, Tajinderpal Singh Toor made his international debut at the World University Games and finished at the 5th position in the final with a throw of 19.24m.
In 2016 at the Federation Cup National Senior Athletics Championship, Tajinderpal won his first national gold medal with the throw of 19.33m. Later on, Tajinderpal Singh won a Silver Medal at the Interstate Athletics Championship.

In the last edition of the Commonwealth Games 2018, Tajinderpal Singh Toor finished eighth in the final of the 2018 Commonwealth Games with a throw of 19.42m.

Tajinderpal Singh Toor’s father’s name is Late Karam Singh and her mother’s name is Sheetal Singh. Tajinder’s father was a farmer and lived his whole life in Khosa Ponda village.
Tajinderpal Singh’s uncle, Gurman Singh was a former Indian national Shot put champion and used to train Tajinder in his early days of training.
After winning the gold medal in Asian Games. Tajinderpal Singh was coming back to Punjab as he received the news of his father’s demise he was suffering from 4th stage cancer and was heartbroken even after winning the gold medal for his nation.
On 14th October 2021, Indian Shot putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor got married to Sandeep Dhillon Toor in his hometown.

Tajinderpal Singh Toor won the silver medal at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships in Bhubaneswar with a throw of 19.77m.
In the 2019 Asian Athletics Championship, Tajinderpal Singh Toor won a gold medal in the shot put event held in Doha.

On 25 August 2018, Tajinderpal Singh broke the game’s record and national record when Tajinderpal Singh Toor won gold at the Asian Games with a 20.75 m throw.
