Bengal Warriors Vs. Puneri Paltan
Pro Kabaddi League season 9 is well and truly producing some spectacular moments and today’s first match featured Bengal Warriors and Puneri Paltan.
Puneri Paltan were the favorites to win this match and that’s what they exactly did. They defeated Bengal Warriors by a heavy margin of 16 points to dethrone Bengaluru off the top spot.
Maninder Singh’s 13 raid points remained pointless tonight as he was let down by the defenders.
It was a feast for the Puneri raiders and they took advantage of Bengal’s weak defensive display. Aslam Inamdar from Puneri Paltan scored 9 raid points, Akash Shinde scored a Super 10 and Mohit Goyat ended the night with 8 raid points.
Puneri’s defense consisting of Fazel Atrachali, Abhinesh Nadarajan, Sanket Sawant, Sombir and Gaurav Khatri collectively attained 9 tackle points.
Final score line at the end of 40 minutes was 27-43.
Gujarat Giants Vs. Haryana Steelers
Right after Puneri’s win, Haryana Steelers pipped Gujarat Giants by a margin of only 1 point.
The game remained extremely pacey but the Steelers were able to get the victory enroute Manjeet Dahiya’s 13 raid points.
His compatriot Meetu Sharma seemed a bit off today as he brought back only 5 raid points while Vinay scored a single raid point.
Mohit Nandal’s and Amirhossein Bastami’s 1 tackle point each, Jaideep Dahiya’s and Joginder Narwal’s 3 tackle points each was enough to get them over the line.
