Cricket player Odean Fabian Smith was born in Jamaica on November 1, 1996, is a Jamaican cricketer. In the month of April of the year 2018, Odean made his debut for the West Indies cricket team on the international stage.

Domestic Career

Smith’s List A debut occurred on January 16, in the year 2015, during the 2014–15 Regional Super50 competition. On August 8, of the year 2017, Odean made his Twenty20 debut for the Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier League. On December 7, of the year 2017, Odean made his first-class debut for Jamaica in the regional four-day competition for the 2017–18 season.

Prior to the 2018–19 season, Smith was chosen in the Professional Cricket League draught to play for the Trinidad & Tobago national cricket team. Odean Fabian Smith was included in Trinidad & Tobago’s team for the 2019–20 Regional Super50 competition in the month of November of the year 2019.

Smith was chosen by Jamaica in the players’ draught held by Cricket West Indies in June 2020 in preparation for the domestic season of 2020–21. Odean Fabian Smith was included in the Guyana Amazon Warriors roster for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League in July of the year 2020.

Following the player draught for the 2021 Lanka Premier League, Smith was chosen to play for the Dambulla Giants. Odean Smith was purchased by the Punjab Kings in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition in the month of February of the year 2022. Smith was purchased by Gujarat Titans for INR 50 Lakh to participate in the IPL 2023 season on December 23, of the year 2022.

International Playing Career

Smith was chosen for the West Indies team to compete in the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the month of December of the year 2015.

Smith was selected for the West Indies team to play Pakistan in a Twenty20 International (T20I) series in the month of March of the year 2018. On April 2, of the year 2018, Odean Fabian Smith played in his first T20I for the West Indies against Pakistan.

Smith was selected for the Twenty20 International (T20I) and One Day International (ODI) squads of the West Indies for their series against Pakistan in November 2021. Odean Smith was included in the West Indies One Day International (ODI) team for their series against Ireland in December 2021. On January 8, 2022, Smith played in his first One Day International (ODI) for the West Indies against Ireland.
