Barcelona Luis Suarez overtook former player Ladisalu Kubala’s goalscoring tally of 195 goals while scoring a goal against Espanyol on Thursday. It turned out to be a match-winning strike as Barcelona secured a 1-0 win over Espanyol.  The Uruguayan player added one more achievement to his name as he surpassed Kubala to become the third-highest goal scorer for the club.

Suarez also went past Josep Samiter’s 184 goals earlier this season, on October 29th against Valladolid.

In his six years at the Camp Nou, Suarez has played a total of 278 games in all competitions and his goals have been distributed as follows: 146 in the league, 23 in the Champions League, 19 in the Copa del Rey, five in the Club World Cup, one in the Spanish Super Cup and one in the European Super Cup.

Suarez is behind only two players in the list of all-time goal scorer for Barcelona: Lionel Messi with 630 goals and Cesar with 232 goals.

He only needs 37 more goals to become the second-highest goalscorer for Barcelona. Suarez and Messi have brought laurels for the club in the recent past with their amazing camaraderie on and off the field.

It seems that the departure of Neymar Jr is not affecting Spanish club performance as Barcelona have been producing impressive performances, thanks to their star players like Lionel Messi, Mt Stegen, Luis Suarez, and Antione Griezmann.
