Jamie Vardy Biography: Jamie Vardy is an English footballer who plays as a striker of the English National Team and the Leicester City. He begins playing football since his school days. He started playing football for the team Stocksbridge Park steels. He got the opportunity to play with the team for the first time in 2007 in which he impressed everyone with his amazing skills and striking ability. After playing with the team for around a decent time, he joined the Northern Premier League for the team F.C Halifax Town and netted 25 goals in his first season, where he bagged the Player’s Player of the year award. His talent didn’t go unnoticed as he was recognized by the Leicester City in 2012.

As a part of the team he assisted his club to win the League trophy of 2014. In the following season, he netted goals in 11 consecutive matches making him the Premier League Player of the Season and FWA Footballer of the Year. By the year 2015, he made his international debut from the senior side of the national team.


Jamie was born on 11th January 1987 in Sheffield, England in a lower-middle-class family. His father was a crane driver while his mother worked as a legal secretary. Jamie doesn’t found his interest in academics and spend most of his time playing football. When Jamie turned 16, he thought of joining the local football teams so he joined the local team Sheffield Wednesday but was rejected for not being good enough. After the rejection, Jamie decided to give up on his dreams of being a professional footballer. As his family was not so well good he decided to pay his bills and kept practising his upon his skills in the free time. He improved his performance and got admission the team finally


Jamie married Rebekah Nicholson on May 2016 after a long-term dating. The couple is blessed with two daughters named Sofia and Ella. His wedding was slightly controversial as he didn’t invite his family members to his wedding ceremony. Jamie has also launched V9 Academy to help budding footballers and those who want to improve with his football skills.


In 2010, Jamie debuted for Halifax. He earned several honours and earned himself the title of wonder boy. In his first season itself, he netted 25 goals which lead him to won Player’s Player of the Year Award. Seeing his performances many teams contacted him to sign them in their team Jamie ended in signing Fleetwood team in 2011. Playing for the team he ended up earning up winning Player of the Year award. After this there was no stopping for him in no time he signed a three-year contract for three million pounds with Leicester City in 2002.

Despite a decent goal scoring background, his first season doesn’t go well he struggled from a bad form throughout the season, under the concern of his depleting skills he motivated himself and started working hard under the watch of his coach and became stronger than ever in the coming season. He ended up being the table right from the beginning of the season. Jamie assisted his team to win the League title. He netted 16 goals and won Player’s Player of the Year by the end of the year he was reaffirmed his place in the team. The 2014 Year was a big year for Jamie, he played his first Premier League match against the Arsenal and netted a needed goal to draw the game. His electrifying performances continued as he netted goals 11 consecutive matches in 2015 and won the Premier League player of the Month award of October and November. In the later seasons, Jamie performances earned him the title Priceless from his club manager Claudio Ranieri. His team qualified for the UEFA Championship League for the first time in history, at the season end he was named as the FWA Player of the Year and also won the Barclay’s Premier Player of the Season award. In June 2016 Arsenal offered him a record price but he rejected Leicester City for a better offering. In 2017 February he carried playing for the Leicester City to win its first UFA Championship League against the Sevilla.
