Isco was born on 21st April at Benalmadena in Spain to Paco Alarcon and Jenny Suarez. His father used to work as a hotel worker but currently serves as his son’s manager.

Isco was born having bow-legs and was also overweight during his childhood time. However, he decided to fight the deformities of his body to achieve his dream of becoming a professional footballer. He fought his way to overcome his obesity before registering in his first youth club. His motivation to become a football player came from his elder brother, who after an injury, lost his dream of pursuing a career as a footballer.

Isco is in a relationship with Sara Salamo (who is an actress by profession), since 2017. The couple is expected to have a baby soon, although Isco has a son from his previous relationship with Victoria Calderon Montanez, which lasted five years. The Spanish footballer’s son’s name is Francisco Alarcon Calderon.

Isco started his journey with Valencia, where his journey to becoming a successful professional footballer started. He enrolled himself into the club at a very young age, and as a product of the club, he spent 2009-10 season with the club’s reserve team in Segunda Division B, where he netted one goal in 26 appearances. He played his debut match against UD Logrones in a Copa del Rey match. In the match, he netted two goals in a 4-1 home win. Playing for the club, he made three league appearances and two UEFA Champions League appearances. In mid-July, he signed a five-year contract with Malaga CF for 6 million Euros. Playing for Malaga, he netted his first goal on 21st November 2011, against Racing de Santander in a 3-1 win. He finished his first season with five goals in 32 appearances, due to which the club qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history. Isco, while playing for the club, brought several glorious moments, some of which include Malaga’s first Champions League win against FC Zenit Saint Petersburg, a 3-2 win against Real Madrid on 22 December 2012, after a long wait of 29 years. In December 2012, he was honoured with the Golden Boy award for beating Stephan El Shaarawy and Thibaut Courtois.

On 17th June 2013, Isco signed for Real Madrid for a transfer fee of 30 million Euros. He played his debut match against Real Betis in a 2-1 win. In his first season, he netted 11 goals and appeared in 53 official games, with the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid being his biggest match,  where he appeared at the 61st-minute mark, in the game that ended in a 4-1 win for his side.

In the FIFA Club World Cup-winning campaign, he netted the last goal in the semi-final match, helping his side register a 4-0 win. At the end of the season, he was compared to French legendary player Zinedine Zidane. On 8th August 2017, his performance at 2017 UEFA Super Cup against Manchester United earned him the Man of the Match award, while on 14th September, in the same year, he signed a new deal with Real Madrid until June 2022. He made eleven appearances during the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League, in which Madrid won their third consecutive and 13th overall Champions League title.
