The much anticipated IPL 2020 has finally begun and how! 12 days of the league have gone by and the cash-rich league has witnessed some spectacular games, including two super overs. All the teams have played three games apiece. Delhi Capitals are currently sitting atop with two wins in three games, followed by Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals at second and third place respectively. Chennai Super Kings are languishing at the bottom of the table with a solitary win in 3 matches.

Meanwhile, former Australian cricketer, Shane Warne has named his top four teams which can qualify for the playoffs this year. Warne listed Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals as his four contenders of making it to the playoffs.

Mumbai Indians have been the most successful side in the tournament with four titles to their name, while CSK has managed to lift the title on three occasions. Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural tournament in 2008 and are searching for the second title since. Delhi Capitals, though, have never won the title in their 12-year history of IPL.

“Four teams, Rajasthan Royals. I think it’s hard to go past Chennai Super Kings, they will always be there or thereabouts. I think Mumbai Indians will be there too, they have got a very well-balanced squad and the fourth spot, I will probably have to lean towards Delhi Capitals. DC has got a lot of firepower so I think they’ll be the fourth team,” Warne was quoted as saying in Hindustan Times.

Shane Warne also showered praised on Sanju Samson and hoped that the latter enjoys a consistent season this time around.

I hope Sanju has a consistent tournament this year. If he has a consistent tournament this year, I think you will see him representing India in all forms of the game.”

He’s (Samson) such a talented player. I have seen a lot of talented cricketers in my time but watching Samson bat in the nets, being around him, speaking to him over the years and now watching him evolve, I mean he is something else,” he added.
