IPL 2020: Jasprit Bumrah is “the best T20 Fast Bowler”, says MI Bowling Coach Shane Bond

There is no doubt about this fact that Indian speedster and MI Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah in limited tenure has become one of the greatest Bowler across all formats. The way Bumrah is performing in IPL 2020 has impressed MI bowling coach Shane Bond who described the former as the “Greatest T20 Bowler in the World” after his splendid display of bowling against Delhi Capitals where he took 4 wickets for 13 runs in his four-over spell in Qualifier 1 on Thursday in Dubai. He is also the leading wicket-taker of the tournament which means that he is the Purple cap holder of this cash-rich league.

“Jasprit, it’s a privilege to watch. The best T20 fast bowler in the world go about his work,” Bond said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians on Twitter.

Bond also praised Trent Boult saying that “I’ve loved working with Trent since 2012. We’ve seen him at his very best and I was very excited to have him in our team. Because I know what a devastating bowler he can be and he has done that through this tournament for us.”

Sent into Bat First Mumbai Indians played superbly and scored 200 runs on the board thanks to the individual brilliance of Surya Kumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan who scored 51 and *55 not out respectively. Also, Hardik Pandya played an unbeaten knock of 37 runs off just 14 balls.

In Reply Delhi Capitals top three batsman got off to a poor start as they were out on Duck due to magical spell from Boult and Bumrah. The only Batsman who can score for Delhi was Marcus Stonis who played a 65 run knock and got some support from Axar Patel who scored 42 runs which means Delhi could managed to score 143 runs and lost the game by 57 runs but they still have a chance to qualify for the finals where they will play against the winner of SunRisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Qualifier 2 on 8th November 2020.

Bond is also impressed with his team’s batting performance and said: “We are an intimidating batting line-up. You sit in the shed and it is just relentless. At 100/4, you felt that turn in the momentum. Delhi fought really hard through the middle of the innings and got themselves well back into the game. If they’d had a little bit more luck or perhaps been a little bit more accurate, we would have been under pressure at the back end.”

Mumbai Indians has been the most successful Franchise of IPL till date as they have reached final six times and clinched the trophy four times and if everything goes well and they win the final on 10th November 2020 they will be increasing the tally of their title from four to five in this edition.
