With Deccan Charger putting on a formidable 187-run total in the first innings, Delhi had a big task at their hands. Unfortunately, they lost Virender Sehwag early in the run-chase. However, David Warner and Naman Ojha then steadied the ship and took the innings forward. The duo ripped apart Chargers’ bowling attack as they put on a 189-run partnership for the second wicket.

Warner scored 105 runs off just 45 balls, while Ojha scored 64 runs off 46 deliveries.

 

#4 Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle (204 Runs)

Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle hold the record for scoring the fourth-best highest run partnership in IPL. Batting first, RCB put on a huge 215-run total, courtesy a massive 204-run partnership between Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle.

Virat Kohli amassed 73 runs in the partnership, while Chris Gayle alone score 128. RCB won that game by 21 runs.

 

#3 Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh (206 Runs)

The game between Kings XI Punjab and RCB in 2011 edition of IPL saw Shaun Marsh and Adam Gilchrist putting on a stellar 206-run partnership for the second wicket. Batting first, Kings XI Punjab lost their first wicket early in the form of Paul Valthaty, however, what was followed was carnage.

Adam Gilchrist scored a brilliant 105 in just 55 balls, while Marsh scored quick-fire 79 runs in just 49 balls as the duo propelled Punjab to 232 in 20 overs. RCB in reply could only manage to score 121 runs as KXIP won the game by 111 runs.

 

#2 Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers (215 Runs)

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers has put on some stellar partnerships together in IPL. They played one great knock at Wankhede in the 2015 edition of the tournament. On a batting-friendly Wankhede wicket, RCB lost Gayle early. Virat and AB de Villiers then steadied the ship and smashed MI bowlers all over the park.

They stitched a magnificent partnership of 215 runs and took RCB to a massive 235-run total. Virat scored 82 runs and AB amassed 133 runs. Mumbai, in reply, could muster 196 in the second innings.

The game against Gujarat Lions saw another stellar partnership between Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers as the duo stitched 229-run partnership between them. Virat Kohli scored 109 runs off 55 balls, while De Villiers amassed 129 off 52 balls as they propelled RCB to a massive 248-run total in the first innings.

Gujarat Lions, in reply, were folded for just 104 runs, courtesy of a superb spell from Chris Jordan. He took 4 wickets for just 11 runs in 3 overs, while Yuzvendra Chahal too took 3 wickets in his 4-over spell.
