Gautam Gambhir Wins Election: If you have to dedicate a song to hard nut Gautam Gambhir, it would be “Kar har maidan fateh, Kar har maidan fateh…..”. Whatever he touched turned into gold, he was once considered the lucky mascot for the Indian cricket team, who helped the team to win two World Cups.

And now he is doing the same for his political party BJP, he was given the responsibility to contest election from East Delhi and despite all controversies and he came out with flying colors. He easily defeated his political nemesis Atish from Aam Admi Party and Arvinder Singh Lovely from Congress by an impressive margin.

It is an eye soothing co-incidence that Gautam Gambhir played his first T20 World Cup in 2007 and India won, he played his first 50 over World Cup in 2011 and India lifted the cup after 28 long years.

Gambhir captained KKR for the first time in 2012 and KKR won its maiden IPL title, this means that every time he is presented the challenge, he rose like a phoenix from the ashes.

Gautam Gambhir Wins Election: Almost a month ago Shahid Afridi made nasty remarks on Gambhir in his recently launched book “The Gamechanger”. He sarcastically referred to Gambhir as someone who “behaves like a cross between Don Bradman and James Bond,” and has a “lot of attitude and no great records”.

To which Gambhir replied “...you are a hilarious man!!! Anyway, we are still granting visas to Pakistanis for medical tourism. I will personally take you to a psychiatrist,”

Gautam Gambhir is among the few cricketers like Imran Khan, Arjun Ranatunga, Mohammad Azharuddin, Sanath Jaisurya, Navjot Singh Siddhu, Kirti Azad, Chetan Chauhan, etc. to have joined the politics in the recent times.
