Celebrities extend their wishes on Social Media after Lovlina Borgohain confirms medal in Tokyo Olympics

It is evident now that after Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu the one who will sure-shot medal will be boxer from Assam Lovlina Borgohain as she qualifies for the semifinal round of Olympics 2020.

Indian boxer prevailed in the quarterfinal round against Former World Champion hailing from Chinese Taipei  Nien Chin Chen to enter the semifinal round on Friday.

The 23-year-Old boxer won the important clash by 4-1 to make it to the last four where she will be squaring off against the medal contention against reigning World Champion Busanez Surmaneli of Turkey.

Several celebrities took to the most popular microblogging site i.e Twitter to express their wish to Assam Pugilist for making into the semifinal round of Olympics 2020.

It all started with Former Minister of Sports to current Law Minister of India Kiren Rijiju who played a massive role towards India’s growth in building Olympics infrastructure so that players can get top facilities who are heading for Olympics.

He wrote on his official Twitter account “India has confirmed 2nd Olympic medal in Tokyo 2020 in the name of Lovlina Borgohain”

Popular Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda wrote on his official Twitter Handle where he wrote “A new dawn on the North East horizon” .

Popular singer Sona Mohapatra who wrote on her official Twitter handle where she wrote “Big BADA HORRAY for @LovlinaBorgohai!! #Olympic Games #India Woman #women lead the charge”.

Lovlina Borgohain will be the third Indian boxer to win an Olympic medal, following Mary Kom at the 2012 London Olympics and Vijender Singh at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Taking about other Boxer who are taking part from Indian contingents including the likes of Mc Mary Kom who won two rounds out of three but the final result came in favour of her opponent by Split decison by 3-2.

Apart from Lovlina, Amit Panghal is the other Indian contingents who is expected to deliver big in Olympics 2020 and he is still to start his campaign in Olympics 2020.
