BCCI has been vocal about pay parity in last few years and recently took momentous decision to elevate the pay of women’s cricketers so that they can stand align with Men’s Cricketer.
This is a remarkable decision taken by BCCI and they should be applauded for it.
“I’m pleased to announce BCCI’s first step towards tackling discrimination. We are implementing a pay equity policy for our contracted women cricketers. The match fee for both Men and Women Cricketers will be the same as we move into a new era of gender equality in Indian Cricket,” Jay Shah said.
