Renuka Singh Thakur was born on 1 February 1996 in the small village Parsa, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. Renuka Thakur completed her schooling at G.S.S School, Dharamshala, HP.
Later on, she went to DAV public school in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh for her higher secondary education, and for her graduation, she went to Guru Nanak Dev University.

Renuka Singh Thakur’s cricket journey started when she decided to join the Himachal Pradesh Cricket association’s women’s residential academy in 2009.
Renuka Singh got the skill set and work ethic but needed some proper training. Renuka’s Uncle, Bhupendra Singh works as a physical education teacher at a Government College, in Shimla. He insisted Renuka try cricket in her early days.
Her splendid performances in the local tournaments got her the chance to captain the U-16 and U-19 teams for Himachal Pradesh domestic team.

Renuka Singh Thakur International Career
Being the captain of the Himachal Pradesh team, Renuka was on verge of making it into the India women’s cricket team.
In the 2019-20 Senior Women’s One day League, Medium arm pacer, Renuka Singh took mindblowing 23 wickets of the opponent team and also become the leading wicket-taker of the Indian cricket team.
In 2021, Renuka Singh got her first International call from BCCI when she made it into the squad for the women’s one-day against Australia. On 7th October 2021, Renuka made her debut in T20I.
In the BCCI Senior women’s one-day trophy match against Australia, Renuka took nine wickets and also received the MOM award.
In 2022, Renuka Singh made her debut in ODI cricket against New Zealand in Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Renuka Singh Thakur received her ODI Cap from Skipper Mithali Raj.
