Aishwarya Babu popularly known as Aishwarya B is a 25-year Indian long jump and triple jump athlete who holds the national record in the triple jump with the mark of 14.14m in the National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships in 2022.
This record booked her place in this year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. She is very close to breaking Anju Boby George’s record of 6.83m in the long jump.

Aishwarya Babu Early Life
Aishwarya was born on 15th June 1997 in Karnataka. She was interested in sports since childhood. Aishwarya started her journey at the age of eight years old. Initially, she started as a runner in 100m and 200m sprints. Her true potential was discovered by her coach Vasant Jogi when she joined Alva’s foundation for higher studies and sports training. With Anju Boby George as her Ideal she is no doubt destined to achieve great success in the future.
Aishwarya Babu Professional Life
Aishwarya found first piece of success at the Indian Univ. Championship in 2020 where she won the gold medal in long jump with the mark of 6.25m and gold medal in the triple jump with the mark of 13.29m. This early success gave Aishwarya the confidence she needed to pursue the sport.
Aishwarya won the gold medal in the National Open Championships in the long jump category with a jump of 6.52m in 2021. She followed that with the gold medal in the triple jump category with a leap of 13.55m. By now Aishwarya has established herself as the top Indian athlete in domestic competitions. She was discovered by Pramila Aiyappa, the 2010 Asian Games heptathlon bronze medallist who took Aishwarya to a Railway selection trial and then started training her. Aishwarya is currently training under Pramila Aiyappa’s husband, BP Aiyappa.
Aishwarya began the year 2022 with the gold medal in the triple jump with a distance of 13.94m at the Indian Grand Prix. She won the gold medal in both long jump and triple jump at the Inter-Railway Championships. She finished the season before the commonwealth games again with double gold in the long jump and triple jump at the National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships. She is all set to make India proud at the Commonwealth Games.
