During the forthcoming series, KL Rahul has been relieved of his duties as India’s Test captain, but according to Rohit Sharma, the team will still support him despite his lackluster performance with the willow.
Except for his few innings where he reached 100 runs at Lords and Centurion, KL Rahul has played 43 Test matches so far, and there isn’t much to think about the star batter.
It would be unjust to Shubhmann Gill and Sarafaraz Khan, two batters waiting in the wings if he were given chances in every game going forward. The former is a part of the existing ecosystem, while the latter isn’t receiving a chance to represent India.

The key idea we need to grasp is that everyone is subject to the rules in the same way, including Shikhar Dhawan, who was benched for his few poor ODI performances so why KL is given an extended run.

Several players of excellent caliber that merit a chance in the national squad are part of the current Saurashtra team, which defeated Bengal to win the Ranji Trophy in 2023.
Every player should be given a fair shot regardless of whether they scored runs when it counted or not, and this unfair selection process needs to end.
