Vincent Kompany is a Belgian professional Footballer who plays as a center back for the Belgian national team and acts as a player-manager for Belgian club R.S.C Anderlecht.
EARLY LIFE
Kompany was born on 10th April 1986 to his late mother Joseline Fraselle and father Pierre Kompany. His father was a Sports agent while his mother was an employment agent.
Since his childhood, Kompany was crazy for the sport Football. At the age of seven, he started his career at Anderlecht. He won several awards including Belgium Golden shoe and The Belgium Ebony shoe.
PERSONAL LIFE
Vincent Kompany married his long-time girlfriend Carla Higgs. The couple is blessed with a daughter named Sienna born on 10th June 2010 and a son who was born in October 2013.
CLUB CAREER
On 9th June 2009, he joined Hamburg. During his debut season, he played six Bundesliga at the start but due to an injury, he had to rest for the season ahead.
On 22nd August 2008, he moved to Manchester City on a four-year deal. Two days after signing the deal he made his debut for the club. He netted his first goal on 28th September. On 14th August 2010, he started the opening Premier League. During his 11 years of career with the City, he assisted his team in conquering the Premier League titles, FA Cups, EFL Cup and FA Community Shield.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Kompany has represented his Belgian National team at both junior as well as senior level. He had contributed his gameplay in Olympics, FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro.
He was a part of the 2018 FIFA World Cup team in which his team ended third.
