Guyana Amazon Warriors is the most unlucky team in Caribbean Premier League history. Guyana is the only side who has appeared in most CPL finals. They have reached in the final of each and every season except 2015 and 2017. They have won most matches in the CPL history.

Since the inaugural season of the Caribbean Premier League, Lendl Simmons appeared in four seasons for Guyana Amazon Warriors and played two finals for the franchise. Simmons is the highest run-getter for Guyana Amazon Warriors, having scored 1029 from 29 matches at an average of 41.16.

He has the best average amongst all Guyana batsmen. During his 4-years CPL career for Guyana, he added 8 half-centuries to his name. His knock of 97 off 60 balls against St Lucia in 2014 is his top knock for Guyana. In the second CPL edition, he contributed 446 runs in 11 innings at an average of 49.55.

#2 Martin Guptill (2013-2017)

Martin Guptill made his CPL debut in the first season and he is the 2nd highest run-scorer for Guyana Amazon Warriors, having scored 862 runs from 32 appearances at an average of 31.92. Guptill is the only player who appeared in 3 finals for a single team. From 5 seasons for Guyana, he appeared in three CPL finals (2013, 2014, and 2016).

His best knock for Guyana came against Antigua Hawkbills in 2014, where he scored 90 off just 51 balls. In 2014, he contributed 358 runs in 10 innings at an average of 51.14. In 4th edition, Guptill was the captain of Guyana Amazon Warriors and he led his side to the 3rd CPL final.

#3 Brandon King (2019-2020)

The Young Guyana star and the top performer of CPL 2019, Brandon King joined Guyana Amazon Warriors. He was the top-scorer of the debut season.

The 25-years old was in fine touch with scoring 496 runs from 12 innings at an average of 55.11. He scored 132 off 72 balls in the last season which is the highest individual CPL score. He broke the previous record of Andre Russell. He also hit 32 sixes in the last season to set a new record.

#4 Chris Lynn (2016)

Chris Lynn is known for his quick start as an opener. Lynn played only one season for Guyana in 2016 but he made a huge impact with the bat. The Australian batsman scored 454 runs from 12 matches at an average of 45.40 striking at 133.13.

His best knock was recorded against St Lucia, scoring 86 runs off 45 balls. In his debut game, he smashed Trinbago hard with scoring 77 off 43 balls including 8 sixes.

#5 Shimron Hetmyer (2016-2019)

Shimron Hetmyer gives a destructive start to his side. He made his debut for Guyana Amazon Warriors in 2016 and appeared in three finals – 2016, 2018 & 2019. Hetmyer was the first centurion for Guyana, scoring 100 off 49 balls against Jamaica Tallawahs in 2018.

Hetmyer accumulated 664 runs from 25 matches at an average of 28.86 striking at 138.04. In 2018, the left-handed batsmen had the best run with the bat, scoring 440 from 12 matches at an average of 40. In 2018, he played another fighting knock against St Kitts, scoring 79 runs off 45 balls.
