Guyana Amazon Warriors is the team who qualified for the CPL final most times (5) – 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2019. They had a terrific record in Caribbean Premier League with qualifying into the playoffs every season. The last season was pretty disappointing for them as they were unbeaten in the tournament but lost in the final against Barbados Tridents. Guyana Amazon Warriors will be led by the Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik. #2 Imran Tahir (2018-2020)

Making a debut in 2018, Imran Tahir has excelled with his spin to become the most important player in the franchise. He has appeared in two seasons for Guyana and both occasions, he led his side to the final. In 21 appearance for the Franchise, Tahir has accounted for 32 wickets at an economy of just 5.09.

In the previous season, he was the 2nd highest wicket-taker of the tournament with claiming 16 wickets from 9 games. He has grabbed 16 wickets on consecutive seasons to play a major role to guide Guyana Amazon Warriors to final.

#3 Lendl Simmons (2013-2015)

Lendl Simmons was a key figure for Guyana since the opening season of the Caribbean Premier League. He appeared in three seasons and played two finals for the franchise. Simmons is the leading run-getter for Guyana Amazon Warriors, having scored 1029 from 29 matches at an average of 41.16 which is the best average of any batsman for Guyana.

He scored 8 half-centuries and his knock of 97 off 60 balls against Zouks in the second season still remains his best knock in CPL. In the second season, Simmons scored 446 runs in 11 innings at an average of 49.55.

#4 Martin Guptill (2013-2017)

The New Zealand opener made his debut for Guyana in the first season of CPL and he is the 2nd leading scorer for the franchise, having scored 862 runs from 32 matches at an average of 31.92. Guptill is the only player who appeared in 3 finals for a single team.

Martin Guptill has played in the final of CPL in 2013, 2014, and 2016. His best knock for Guyana came against Hawkbills in 2014, where he smashed 90 off just 51 balls. In the second edition, he scored 358 runs in 10 innings at an average of 51.14 including 5 half-centuries. In 2016, he was also named the captain of Guyana Amazon Warriors and he led his side to the final.

#5 Sohail Tanvir (2016-2018)

The former Pakistani pacer Sohail Tanvir has been pivotal for Guayna with his impressive bowling. He made the good use of his height to get extra bounce from the surface. Tanvir is the leading wicket-taker for Guyana Amazon Warriors by claiming 49 wickets from 35 matches with the strike rate of 16.2.

His best spell came against Tridents in 2017 where he picked up 5-wickets for just 3 runs in 4-overs. In his debut season, he guided his side to the record 3rd final by claiming 20 wickets from 12 matches at an average of 14.85. In 2017, he picked up 17 wickets from 12 matches at an average of 18.52.
