Early Life and Family
Selvamani K was born on 28th April 1992 from Thekkampatti, Omalur Taluk, Salem, Tamil Nadu. Selvamani started playing kabaddi when he was just nine years of age.
Since then Selvamani has been working on making it in pro and pursue kabaddi as his profession. The raider received his first professional training at Tamil Nadu Amateur Kabaddi Association, TAKA, when he was in the fourth year of his diploma in Mechanical Engineering at CSI Polytechnic.

Selvamani K made his Pro Kabaddi debut in Season 2 for Dabang Delhi and was there till Season 4. which turned out to be his breakout season. He was excellent in supporting Kashi and Meraj. The raider picked 25 Do or Die raid points, the third-highest for that season.
His game was so impressive in season 5, Pink Panthers paid a staggering Rs73 Lakhs for him. But unfortunately, he got injured in the first few minutes of his first game for the new side and that sidelined him for the rest of the season.
Later that season, The Jaipur Pink Panthers management, let go of him in the auction but retained him very next season and back for a meagre Rs15Lakhs. Till now he has had a decent run with skills such as Running Hand Touch and Running Kick in his arsenal.
In season 7, will be playing for Haryana Steelers in the upcoming season. Where Harayana Steelers paid around 16.50 lacs for the raider. where he only managed to play 6 games made a total of 36 raids and collecting 11 raid points for his side.
