A son of a farmer, Saurabh Chaudhary is the only Indian shooter to have won a gold medal in the Youth Olympic, Asian games, Junior ISSF world championship, ISSF World Cup and Asian Airgun championship. The Indian shooter was born on 12th May 2002 in a village named Kalina in Meerut district of UP. Coming from a family background of farmers, Chaudhary started playing the sport at the age of 13. He used to travel as far as 15 km from buses to practice the sport daily. Also, the Indian shooter loves farming activities and also helps out his family in farming during his holidays.

He enjoyed a phenomenal run in the year 2019. The Indian shooter won two Gold medals at the 2019 ISSF World Shooting Championships. In May 2019, he bagged a gold at the 2019 ISSF World Cup, followed by another Gold in 10 m air pistol event at the 2019 ISSF World Cup, held in Munich.
Saurabh settled for a bronze medal, at the ongoing 2019 ISSF World Cup, held in Rio de Janeiro. His performance helped him bag his sixth medal in the year 2019.
