Rohit Yadav Javelin Early Life
Rohit Yadav was born on 6th June 2001 in Uttar Pradesh. His father Sabhajit Yadav is an amateur runner and a farmer who encouraged him to take up athletics. Growing up in the small town of Dabhiya Rohit lacked any kind of athletic facility, there is no gym.
Everything has to be improvised even the javelin. Eventually, the family bought a javelin from Patiala. Rohit rose from his humble beginning to represent India on an international level and just like his good friend Neeraj Chopra he too wants to make India proud.
Rohit Yadav Javelin Professional Life
Rohit won the gold medal at the World School Games 2016. It was a dream start to his career. But things took a turn for the worst as he was suspended for one year following a failed dope test. His sample A was found with the banned substance called ‘stanozolol’. It was a terrible blow to him as he pleads his innocence. After he served his one-year suspension, he was back on the track and even more determined than before.
He participated in a series of domestic competitions since then. He won the Indian U-20 Championship with a throw of 76.68m. Rohit won the gold in the Inter-State Championship in Lucknow with a throw of 78.98m. He rounded up 2021 with the bronze at the Federation Cup in Patiala with a throw of 78.88m.
With the drama firmly behind him, Rahul started 2022 with a bang winning the silver medal at the Indian Grand Prix in Thiruvanthapuram with a throw of 80.03m. He kept on going and won the gold at the National Federation Cup with a throw of 81.83m. This throw confirmed his qualification for this year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Rohit Yadav Javelin Commonwealth Games 2022
It is overwhelming for any young athlete to represent his country at international competitions. Rohit who is still just 21 would like to leave his mark on this tournament. With Neeraj Chopra taking the burden to win the medal, Rahul wants to just show his talent at the event.
He is going into this competition high on confidence and is hoping to break the 80m mark. He along with Neeraj and DP Manu are India’s strongest ever contingent in javelin throw discipline.
