Dhiraj Bommardeva was born on 4th September 2001, in Vijayawada, Andra Pradesh India.

He started developing inclination towards sport at 5 years old, he started learning nuances of sport after taking inspiration from his father Bommadevara Shravan Kumar gradually he started learning the basics of game at Cherukuri Volga Archery Academy, in Vijayawada later he started playing at Army Sports Institute in Pune and later he joined Indian Army as Subedar in 2021.

His schooling happened at Sri Nava Bharat School, Vijayawada Andra Pradesh later joining college at SRR & CVR Government Degree College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

His Mother  Bommardeva Revathi is former school teacher.

There are reports which stated that he developed love for the sport after hearing classic tales of Mahabharat and Ramyana.

Despite facing financial struggles his love for sport began to grow.
