PKL season 9 day 11

Bengal Warriors Vs. Jaipur Pink Panthers

Bengal Vs Jaipur

First match of day 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League season 9 took place between second placed Jaipur Pink Panthers and third placed Bengal Warriors. The Pink panthers are now just 4 points away from defending champions Dabang Delhi K.C at the second place in the points table.

This was also Jaipur’s fourth win on the trot and the season one champions have made their intentions clear that they are chasing their second PKL trophy. Raider Arjun Deshwal was the only player who reached double figures as he won 10 raid points (8 touch points and 2 bonus points).

He recieved the support of raiders Bhavani Rajput and V Ajith as both picked 5 raid points each. Rahul Chaudhari failed to get going and he was unable to pick up a single raid point. Pink Panthers’ defense played their role extremely well as the defenders shared 13 tackle points between them and imposed a dominant tackle success rate of 65%.

It was a tough day at the office for the Bengal Warriors as they lost the match by gap of 15 points. Captain and Raider Maninder Singh was kept quite by the mighty Jaipur defence and he only managed to win 2 Raid points. Shrikant Jadhav’s 6 raid points was the highest by any Bengal Warriors player.

The Final score line at the end of full-time was 24-39.

Telegu Titans Vs. Puneri Paltan

Pro Kabaddi League season 9

Puneri Paltan have climbed up to the 4th spot of the Pro Kabaddi League points table as they picked up their second successive victory, this time against strugglers Telegu Titans. This fixture could go down as one of the closest games in the history of PKL as the winner prevailed by just 1 point.

Raiders Mohit Goyat and Aslam Inamdar starred in the match as they contributed a combined total of 15 Raid points 10 and 5 respectively. All-rounder Mohammad Nabibaksh (1 raid and 2 tackle points), captain Fazel Atrachali (3 tackle points) and defender Sombir (2 tackle points) helped the star raiders and picked up points during critical moments.

Lack of individual contributions from players saw Telegu Titans lose their 4th match this season in 5 matches. Raider Siddharth Desai was the highest scorer in the team as he brought back 8 raid points and Vinay notched 6 points for a losing cause.

Concerns are rising for the Telegu defense as the Raiders played their part and kept the raid strike rate set 41.46%, which was surprisingly higher than Paltan’s 34.15%. On the other hand Pune had a good tackle success rate of 47.37% as compared to Telegu’s poor 22.22%.

Final score line at the end of the match was 25-26.
