Pro Kabaddi League 2018 is coming
Pro Kabaddi League 2018 after completing five seasons of astonishing success is returning with its sixth edition starting from July. The league is comprised of about 12 teams to battle amongst themselves. The event begins with the auctions of more than 200 players consist of 58 foreigners and 87 Indian participants to be selected over a span of two days Mumbai. The auctions tend to gather the limelight as the prices offered to players seems to break the bank account barriers to onboard the desired players. Players like Monu Goyat has emerged as one of the expensive players who has bagged the contract in 1.15 Crore in 2018 while five other players have taken entry in one crore club comprising of players like Nitin Tomar, Rahul Chaudhari, etc.
Indian and various countries like Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya, etc. will feel the thrill of Pro Kabaddi 2018 league with their best contestants participating. - To enrol in Pro-Kabaddi 2018 every franchise needs to follow the below guidelines:
- The franchises are allowed to choose between 18-25 players for their team formation.
- Any franchise can include up to three players from FKH or Future Kabaddi Heroes program of the year.
- If any team has four “Elite Retained Players” they are allowed to exercise one “Final Bid Match” option in open auction.
- If any team has below four “Elite Retained Players” they are allowed to exercise about 2 “Final Bid Match” option in open auction.
- Every team can choose foreign players ranging from two to four in numbers.
- Every franchise is allowed to spend a total salary of four crores.

- Bengal Warriors, having squad strength of 18 players is also comprised of Mithin Kumar as an FKH player.
- Dabang Delhi having Naveen Kumar as an FKH player is comprised of squad strength of 19 players.
- Bengaluru Bulls have many FKH players with them like Harish Naik, Sumit Singh, Amit Sheoran, have a team size of 19 players.
- Gujarat Fortune giants stand tall with their team strength of 15 players and are comprised of Lalit Chaudhary, Anil, Vikram Kandola.
- Jaipur Pink Panthers having a team strength of 14 players also have Lokesh Kaushik as an FKH player.
- Puneri Paltan comprised of squad strength of 14 players is formulated with Amit Kumar as an FKH player.
- Telugu Titans are having a strength of about 14 players and include Kamal Singh, Anand and Ankit Beniwal as FKH players.
- U Mumba, comprised of 16 players team strength is said to have Gaurav Kumar, Anil and Mohit Balyan as FKH players.
- Tamil Thalaivas, is of team size 17 players and have Rajnish as an FKH player.
- Patna Pirates is featured as one of the biggest teams of team size 19 players and is constituted of Vijay, Parveen Birwal, and Arvind Kumar, as FKH players.
- Haryana Steelers selected Arun Kumar as FKH player and have a squad strength if 12 people.
- Bengaluru Bulls is another largest team of 19 players having Harish Naik, Sumit Singh, and Amit Sheoran as FKH players.
Patna Pirates have been on defending a position in last three seasons but has defeated Gujarat Fortune giants previous year in Final. No doubt they are again coming with the same passion for beating their counterparts.
According to the Pro Kabaddi League 2018 schedule, the first match is played between Tamil Thalaivas v/s Telugu Titans at Hyderabad in Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. Launched in 2014, the Pro Kabaddi League was founded and conceptualized by Marshal Sports and are promoted by Charu Sharma, Rajiv Luthra, and Anand Mahindra. IPL or Indian Premier was found to act as an influencer for Kabaddi tournaments in Asian Games held in 2006. Owing to the first season the Pro Kabaddi League it is based on a franchise model and started with only eight teams onboard, and fees for joining the tournaments in 2014 was about 250,000 US$.
