Pardeep Narwal became the first player to cross 1000 raid points in VIVO Pro Kabaddi League history as his 26 points helped Patna Pirates side thrash Tamil Thalaivas 51-25 in front of a packed audience at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium in Kolkata on Monday.

Patna Pirates’ star raider, also known as the “Dubki King”, Pardeep Narwal, re-wrote history as he became the first player to reach 900 Raid points in the Pro Kabaddi League history.

The star raider reached the feat in his 98th match, playing against the Tamil Thalaivas at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium in Kolkata. It took Pardeep Narwal just 8 games to jump from 900 Raid Points to the magical figure of 1000 Raid Points.

Pardeep Narwal was sitting on 859 Raid points before the start of Pro Kabaddi 2019 and though he started slow, he slowly got into his own, creating a mark for himself. Points started to come about in the Patna leg of the league, which was the third leg after Hyderabad and Mumbai. There has been no looking back for Narwal ever since.

Pardeep Narwal registered remarkable 26 points in the game, helping Patna Pirates register a win after 6 straight losses. Pirates would now look to build on this momentum and get on a late surge in this long season.

It was a superb team effort as defence worked well, ensuing Pardeep Narwal doesn’t have to spend too much time off the mat, a case that was a regular phenomenon for a large part this season.

Despite the win, Patna Pirates are still bottom of the pile, managing to win just their 4th game in the 14 games played this season.
