Nachhatar Singh Johal Biography: Nachhatar Singh Johal is an Indian sailor who has represented India at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the Finn events. He serves in the Indian army and has got affiliation from the Army Yachting Node.
Nachhatar Singh was born on July 15, 1979, in Jalandhar. After his graduation, he joined the Indian army.

Nachhatar Singh Johal took up Finn Sailing when he was 22-years-old. and he started participating in the racing events at 23. His first-ever competitive event was Enterprise Nationals, held in December 2001.
He used to train at Yacht club Crops of Engrs Sailing Club, Army Yachting Node in Mumbai. He used to get funds from the Indian army.
He was the lone Indian sailer to participate in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Mumbai-based Nachhatar, a major in the Indian army, won a two-man selection battle to race in Qingdao after India were handed a berth.
Despite enjoying the whole Olympic experience, Nachhatar conceded he wished he had some teammates in Qingdao.
“I would love to have three or four more teams here,” he said. “I would prefer to be part of a team.”
