Jordi Alba is a Spanish professional Footballer who plays as Left-back for the Spanish club, Barcelona and the Spain national team.
EARLY LIFE
Jordi was on 21st March 1989 at L’Hospitalet, Spain to mother Maria Jose and father Alba Miguel. As being born in a city known more for Football than any other thing he was born and bred playing Football with his brother David Alba.
At the age of 7, young Jordi started his Footballing journey with a local club Hospitalense. No sooner his talent was spotted by Barcelona scout and the next thing done he was snapped up by the La Maisa youth academy of Barcelona.
PERSONAL LIFE
Jordi is in a relationship with his long-time girlfriend Romarey Venture after he split up with his ex-girlfriend Mellisa Morilas.
In August 2017 the couple took Instagram to announce their first child. On 18th January 2018, they were blessed with a baby boy who they had named Piero.
CLUB CAREER
Inside Barcelona as a youth talent Jordi spend eight years before he was deemed for being physically weak. Next, he joined Cornella where after spending two years he moved to Valencia and thus started his senior debut.
He didn’t make his La Liga debut until 13th September against Real Valladolid in a 4-2 win. He started two consecutive UEFA Europa League group stage matches against Lille and Slavia.
He netted his first goal for the club in a 2-3 away loss to Mallorca. Gradually he cemented his position as Valencia’s first-choice left-back.
On 28th June 2012, he signed a five-year contract with FC Barcelona. He made his debut for the club against Real Sociedad on 19th August 2012. The first season with Barcelona, under coach Tito he backed the team with his series of impressive performances.
On 2nd June 2015 due to his rising dedication and performance, the Spanish club offered him a five-year. Six days after signing the deal he netted in the UEFA Champions League final against Juventus to conquer the third title for the club.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Jordi debuts his national team from under-19 squad. He was also part of the Spanish team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
He got his first international team call-up in September 2011. He made his full senior debut for his international team against Scotland.
In 2014 he was a part of the Spanish team that defended its World Cup tournament hosted by Brazil but ended badly.
