Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a Gabonese footballer who plays as a forward for Gabonese National Team and Premier League team ‘Arsenal’. Aubameyang has inherited his football skills from his father who himself was a famous Gabonese footballer. Aubameyang started showing interest in football since a very young age and was well-guided by his footballer father. Before joining Saint-Etienne in 2011, Aubameyang played for many European clubs. He had a two-year stint with Saint-Etienne after which he was bought by German giants Borussia Dortmund. To gain more experience Aubameyang joined the French outfit ‘Dijon’. He proved himself in the team as a top player through netting crucial goals for the team in the ‘Coupe da la Ligue’. In December 2011, he was signed by Saint Etienne on a permanent deal. Playing for Saint Etienne, he proved his worth through netting a hat-trick against Lorient, it the Coupe de la Ligue. In the tournament, he scored half the goals for the team, helping his side win the Ligue, ending up with 18 goals to his name.
In the next season, he appeared in 37 games in which he netted 19 goals. It became his career definitive season after which he was selected as the Ligue’s African Player of the Year. Playing for Dortmund, he assisted his team in reaching the 2015 DFB-Pokal final, and in the same year, extended his contract with the team till 2020. By September, Pierre had become the first player in the history to score goals in six consecutive matches. In January 2018, he was acquired by the Arsenal for a fee of €63,75 Million. He has been a success at Arsenal and is among their key players.
At the national level, he plays for the Gabon National team and debuted for the senior team at the age of 19. The team’s record goal scorer helped them reach the quarter-final of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. He has also represented his national team at the London Olympics.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Controversy
Aubameyang went on a trip to see former teammate Ousmane Dembele without informing the club. As a result, the club took action against him and suspended him.
Aubameyang was involved in another disciplinary reprimand as he turned up 35 minutes late for a practise session.
Aubameyang tried to force a move away from Dortmund, and in the manner he did, forced the fans to pull-out a banner stating, “No player is bigger than our club.”
Aubameyang later apologised for his actions. “First of all sorry for everything that happened in the last month,” he wrote. “But I wanted to change last summer, it did not work, but now it had to be. Maybe it was not the best way I chose, but everyone knows that Auba is crazy.”
