After stealing the victory under the noses of Rajasthan Royals in the previous game, Royal Challengers Bangalore are up against the fellow play-off spot contenders, Kolkata Knight Riders in match 39 of the season. The season has crossed the halfway mark and teams are completely engrossed in the competition.

With a victory on Wednesday, Royal Challengers Bangalore can reach more closer to the playoff spots as they will have 14 points in their kitty. With multiple teams being able to reach a maximum of 16, a win will do it for the side.

Despite the victory in the previous game, RCB have concerns to address. Devdutt Padikkal is unable to give a high-flying start though he is showing the majority beyond his age. Aaron Finch hasn’t lit up the league and is being dismissed sooner or later. Virat Kohli himself is unable to clear the boundaries in UAE even after getting a good shot. The team has to address the issue before they take on Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.

Here are the top three picks for Royal Challengers Bangalore for the game against KKR at Sheikh Zayed Stadium:

#1) Aaron Finch

The Aussie international and limited-overs skipper has failed to get going in the league despite getting good starts. He has only one half-century to his name and only 205 runs in nine games. The player has struck the ball at a strike rate of 114.52 which is below par for a player of stature like Aaron Finch.

However, he will be one of the top three picks for Royal Challengers Bangalore at Sheikh Zayed Stadium with KKR having bowlers like Pat Cummins and Lockie Ferguson who are pace merchants. The team will look to obtain a substantial contribution in the top order.

#2) Washington Sundar

The off-spinner bowler and all-rounder from Tamilnadu, Washington Sundar has been a great bowler for RCB in IPL 2020. He has bowled in every part of bowling. Not only in the powerplay, in the middle overs too, the office has also been effective. In the reverse fixture, Sundar bowled an economical spell that led to Royal Challengers’ victory.

With more than two left-hand batsmen featuring for KKR, Sundar has a major role to play. Virat Kohli and the team management will expect a contribution from both bat and ball from Sundar. He will be one of the top three picks for RCB against KKR.

#3) Yuzvendra Chahal

The leg-break bowler is one of the major reasons behind Royal Challengers Bangalore‘s good season in 2020. The wily leg-break bowler has not only claimed the wickets but also has applied the breaks on the opposition. Barring two or three players, the opposition have found it tough to get going against Yuzvendra Chahal.

In the ongoing edition, Yuzvendra Chahal has become the go-to bowler for Virat Kohli alongside Chris Morris. Chahal has 13 wickets from nine games at an economy rate of 7.64. He will be one of the top three picks for Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday.
