Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi in the first eliminator of IPL 2020. Winner plays qualifier 2 and loser takes a flight back to home. RCB were quite good in first ten matches by winning seven matches and then dip in form saw them losing four on the bounce. They just about managed to sneak into playoffs by virtue of a better net run-rate.
SRH journey was the exact opposite as they struggled throughout and won only four out of the first eleven matches. They won their last three matches and defeated the teams that reached playoffs. Saha at the top with Warner has freed the later, Nadeem has found the lengths to bowl and Sandeep has found an extra yard of pace to take wickets in the powerplay. They were so clinical in the last three matches that after the last match they had finished on third on the table.

Now it’s eliminator time and nothing short of A game will see one team getting knocked on out. Sunrisers are looking covered in every department, with lower-middle order also looking strong with the presence of Holder. Warner-Saha would like to provide them rapid starts so the middle and lower-middle order could build on the momentum to give their bowlers a target o defend. Their bowling has been brilliant right throughout the tournament and Rashid has led them brilliantly. Sandeep has been brilliant upfront with wickets in powerplays and Holder-Natrajan have been brilliant at death to not allow the opposition to run away with the game.
The poor form came at the wrong time for RCB team and they were lucky to reach playoffs even after losing last four league matches. Their top-order have batted well, slight conservatively though, but lower middle order have led them down. ABD -Virat when don’t go big RCB struggle to get a par plus score. They have reached playoffs after four years and would like to play their best cricket for the next three matches to be on the right side of the result. Saini has not recovered from injury and RCB would hope that he gets fit and performs as he did in forts half of IPL.
Morris form has left him and has taken only two wickets in last four matches with the economy being above 9runs/over which will worry him and team management. Spinners have done reasonably well and would like to continue the good work. SRH look aside with momentum and positive energy whereas RCB seems to be lost. Dew will play its part in the second innings so toss becomes crucial but if the team has to bat first they have to score 30+ par score to give them better chance when the ball gets wet.
RCB have lots of questions to answer whereas SRH looks covered in all basis and so start the game as favourites.
