IPL 2020, MI VS RCB Preview: Rohit Sharma vs Virat Kohli as Mumbai Indians take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Mumbai Indians at Dubai International Stadium. Both teams have a win and loss in opening two encounters although it could be said that RCB could have been at 2L’s after two matches. But as things stand both teams are at 2 points with MI slightly up in the table with a better net run rate. MI was very clinical in their victory against KKR and it looks Rohit has a balance X1 at his disposal. What would have been heartening for MI is that Pollard bowled 3 overs in last game and would hope Pandya would be soon available to bowl.

RCB on other hand is still looking to find a balance in the team and have played the same team in both matches. But now it looks there might be few changes. Devillers might keep providing more balance as Philippe has struggled. Moeen Ali might get a chance in final X1 as he can give some overs had hit runs at a fast clip. Udana might get a look in ahead of Steyn and Suraj in place of Umesh. In only the third match if this number if changes happen then there are problems but then those have to be sorted out quickly.

RCB would hope that Morris gets fit and is raring to go. Dubai pitch as innings progress does get slower so it would be wise for captains to score runs on board and put the opposition under pressure as we have seen dew has not been a hindrance and teams defending have been able to defend scores.

It will take a herculean effort for RCB to get back to winning ways and looking at the confidence of both teams MI looks favourites to win the encounter.
