IPL 2020, SRH VS MI: A win needed to reach playoffs as SRH take on MI

Lowest Scores by SRH in IPL

SRH

Heading into last league match and still, two teams hopes hinge on it. Kolkata will monitor match closely from hotel rooms as Mumbai Indians take on Sunrisers Hyderabad, who require a win to reach playoffs, at Sharjah Cricket Ground. Morgan and Co would want MI to beat SRH so they get into playoffs.

For SRH they just have to win and they will qualify and will reach to 3rd position due to their top net run-rate. Sunrisers would play the same team in all likelihood which has batted and bowled well to win last two matches. Bairstow will again miss out as Warner and Saha will open for them with Manish, Williamson, Holder, Samad and Abhishek to support.

Mumbai Indians

Their bowling has been outstanding with Sandeep taking wickets in power play and Rashid hardly giving any runs in middle overs and taking wickets as well. Holder, Khaleel, Abhishek, Nadeem have supported them well. Holder has given them a lot more balance with bat and ball and he is a good fielder as well.

Mumbai who on Thursdays will play the first qualifier against Delhi would want to rest some key players to keep them fresh. Meghan might take Boult’s place and Lynn may take Dekock’s place and Kishan will then keep wickets.

Dhawal might come in place of Bumrah. Even though beating MI will still be an easy task but SRH will fancy their chances. Rohit looks likely to sit out again and might come back for playoffs if he regains fitness. Warner, who has played within himself for a major part of IPL, should play like the real “Warner” and take the game head on to help his side in setting up the game. Dew is likely to play its part in second innings so teams would like to chase but SRH should back themselves to defend against MI as they require a win.

SRH have momentum on their side so might pip this one to reach payoffs but nothing is guaranteed.
