Three South African have joined the RCB (Royal Challenger Bangalore) in UAE and now there seem to be no more speculations whether South African players will join the IPL or not.
AB De Villiers, Dale Steyn and Chris Morris join the Bio Bubble of RCB. As there was concern on this that the South African player will join the season or not because of the rules laid by the South African government because of the coronavirus situation.
In the Caption of a video shared by RCB’s official page, they wrote, “The Proteas Arrive And here it is RCB fans, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! @abdevilliers17, @dalesteyn and @tipo_morris have joined the team in Dubai! #PlayBold #TravelDay #IPL2020 #BoldDiaries.”

After arriving in Dubai De Villers said, “I am very excited, very happy to be here. Travelling was a bit different to normal, but we’ve made it here with my South African friends and we’re very happy to be back in the RCB family, and looking forward to my COVID Test.”
Chris Morris after arriving said,” It’s been quite a while that we’ve played the game that we love. So yeah very challenging but we’re very excited to get going, a little bit nervous too to be honest,” Franchise paid a whopping 10 crore for Morris in the auction.
“It’s gonna be interesting to play in the heat. We got here like 3 in the morning and it was steaming outside. Looking forward to what’s it gonna be like in a few weeks,” Dale Steyn said.
IPL will be played from September 19th to November 19th IN UAE and all the players and team management will be under the Bio Secured Bubble. They will be travelling only between the Venue and the hotel and there will be no public interaction and who so ever crosses the Bio Bubble have to stay quarantined for 14 days and also get tested for the COVID-19 twice then only they can join the squad again. Organizers are taking all the precautionary measures to keep the Players safe in this Pandemic.
