New Zealand skipper Williamson who was superb with the bat against West Indies in recently concluded 1st Test Match held in Hamilton where he scored 251 runs which is his highest individual score in red-ball cricket jumps in Test batsman rankings up to two places to Join Kohli at number 2nd spot falling behind Australian ace batsman Steven Smith who retains his top spot in latest ICC Test Batsman rankings.

However other Kiwi’s batsman Tom Latham played an outstanding knock of 86 runs due to which he garnered his carrier best tally of 733 and tenth place on the table. The only fighting knock from West Indies camp against New Zealand in first test came from Jermaine Blackwood who scored his second Test century which made he climb upto 17 places to reach at the 41st position in the latest ICC rankings.
New Zealand bowlers also did a commendable job against Caribbean side where Neil Wagner clinch six wickets edged him ahead of England speedster Stuart Broad into second place of the bowler’s rankings. Another experienced Kiwi bowler Tim Southee who made his Test debut in 2008 achieved a carrier points of 817 which eventually placed in 4th position of ICC Test Bowler rankings.
