Dhoni’s magic continues at Chidambaram as CSK seamers came back strongly in the final three overs of the match. 26 runs were required in the final over and, it was just too much for Sarfaraz to pull off, who played a good inning of 67 runs, but only to end up in a losing cause, as CSK won the match by 22 runs on Saturday.
Earlier, Harbhajan Singh gave CSK two important wickets of Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal, putting Kings on the backfoot, right at the start of the innings.
However, Lokesh Rahul and Sarfaraz Khan helped in avoiding further collapse, as the duo stitched 110-run partnership to take the total 117 in 17 overs. However, their bid to take the game till the end backfired them as Rahul lost his wicket at a crucial juncture of the game leaving further players too much to do in the end.
