Casper Ruud beat Denmark’s Holger Rune in the quarterfinals, which was a rematch of the quarterfinal match between these two tennis stars. Alexander Zverev, on the other hand, beat the Argentinean Tomas Etcheverry to book her place in another Grand Slam semi-final.

The match is going to be a thriller, as both Ruud and Zverev are very good players on clay courts, and they will be ready to give their all to play in the final of the Roland Garros French Open 2023.

Casper Ruud’s journey to the semi-finals has been a dominant one, where he has looked like a man on a mission. In the first two rounds, he faced unseeded players and won without any hiccups, losing just one set. In the third-round match, he lost the first set but made a comeback and won the match. His fourth-round win was a sign of complete dominance by him, and he announced his arrival once again in the quarterfinals by beating the sixth-seeded Holger Rune.

Alexander Zverev’s journey, though, has not been easy at all. He has made a great comeback after his injury at the previous edition of Roland Garros. He won the first two rounds easily without dropping a set. But the third round was a show of his mental and physical strength, as he beat the very talented Frances Tiafoe after losing the first set. The fourth round proved to be just a small stone in his journey, which he kicked flawlessly. He faced a good opponent in Etcheverry, but he beat him too in the quarters.

This match is going to be nothing short of a cliffhanger, as the winner of this match will be facing one of Carlos Alcaraz or Novak Djokovic in the finals of the Roland Garros French Open in 2023.
