It is certainly going to be a treat for all Indian fans who are desperately waiting to see cricket match played in India as no cricketing activities have been hosted in the country from March onwards due to rise in COVID-19 cases. The most popular Indian Premier League was also hosted in UAE this year across three venues: Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. The men in Blue is currently in Australia to play against them. After completing the Australian series boys in blue will be hosting England for four tests, three ODIs and five T20Is.
The last International match that was held in India was in January against Australia for a three-match ODI series. Also hosting England in India will be a great challenge for Indian Team to register a victory against mighty England who have been superb in white-ball cricket in past few years under the leadership of Eoin Morgan. Ganguly also talked about hosting IPL 2021 in India as he labelled this tournament for the nation.
“England is touring India for four Test matches, three ODIs, and five T20Is, it is easy to have bilaterals as there are just two teams, we have to keep assessing the situation, a lot of people are talking about the second COVID wave, we have to be careful. We are trying to have the next IPL in India, it’s a tournament for India, I always tell people that they need to be here to see what IPL means to India,” Ganguly said as quoted by Hindustan Times.
