Australian Open 2023: Djokovic shows his class once again, outclasses Tommy Paul in straight sets to reach 10th Australian Open Final

Novak Djokovic who is a part of the “BIG 3” in tennis history has now reached his 10th Australian Open final and is three sets closer to his record 22nd Grand Slam title which is equal to the number of Grand Slam titles Rafael Nadal currently has.

The Big 3 consists of three legends in tennis history – Roger Federer (20 Grand Slams), Rafael Nadal (22* Grand Slams), and Novak Djokovic (21* Grand Slams).

Djokovic reached the final of the men’s singles category today at the Australian Open 2023 by beating USA’s Tommy Paul in a one-sided encounter. He beat him in three straight sets with a score of 7-5, 6-1, and 6-2 in the third set.

Novak Djokovic, who is from Serbia, showed his class again today which he has done throughout the tournament. He has just looked unbeatable and unstoppable. Djokovic has played flawless classic tennis and is a learning for many youngsters watching the game currently in different parts of the world.

Tommy Paul who was the unseeded player in the draw reached the semi-finals after having a dream run at the competition and was the underdog in the semi-finals against Djokovic. He gave his all but Novak Djokovic was class apart today at the Rod Laver Arena.

Now, Djokovic is very close to matching Nadal’s number of 22 Grand Slam Titles but he has to face the Greek challenge before that.

Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas will now meet in the final of the men’s singles category here at the Australian Open. The match between these two will be played on 29th January 2023 at the Rod Laver Arena.
