Australian Open 2023: Will Novak Djokovic reach his 10th Australian Open final or will Tommy Paul reach his first?

The 2023 season of the Australian Open is in its last phase where the semi-finals and finals are left for all five major categories. The men’s singles semi-finals will take place tomorrow with both matches set to be played at the Rod Laver Arena.

In the second semi-final match, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic is going to come up against USA’s Tommy Paul tomorrow 27th January 2023 at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne Park, Australia.

It will be the second semi-final match of the men’s singles category which will begin from 2:00 pm IST tomorrow afternoon. Novak Djokovic is seeded fourth whereas Tommy Paul is an unseeded player at this year’s Australian Open.

This is Novak’s 10th Australian Open final and he has not looked in trouble in even a single set this tournament. He has played flawless tennis and has passed every barrier which came in front of him with absolute ease. He has beaten many seeded and unseeded players on his way to the semis.

He started with R Carballes Baena in the first round, Enzo Couacaud in the second round, Grigor Dimitrov in the third, Alex de Minaur in the fourth round, and Andrey Rublev in the quarter-finals in a one-sided affair. He is at the pinnacle of the sport and seems unbeatable at the moment.

Tommy Paul on the other hand has had a dream run at this year’s Australian Open. He has had a comparatively easy draw but has been phenomenal as far as tennis is concerned.

He has beaten many ranked and seeded players on his way to the semi-finals and now “The Djokovic Challenge” awaits him there. He has a huge task on his hands and it might be almost impossible for him to beat Djokovic but the beauty of sports is that there is always scope for a miracle. Let us find out tomorrow whether Djokovic reaches his 10th final or Tommy Paul’s dream season continues.
