After MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina calls it quits from international cricket

If ever there is an example of team man I would keep Suresh Raina at numero uno. He made his way into a team with a reputation of being an exciting batsman and a live wire in the field who can field at any position and save good 10-15 runs. He had a decent ODI career and a mediocre test career. He was first Indian to score a century in all three formats. His fielding at slips, the cover was a treat. He’s throwing down of stumps was also quite good. Once he was found out by short ball he struggled after that but still managed to score runs in ODI format. He was India’s best fielder till Ravindra Jadeja came into the picture.

Remember once he started celebrating Virat’s century even before Virat had started. This shows how much a team man he was. Inside out over cover was a goto shot for him. He was doing all he can to be back in Indian team but with Iyer, Manish, Pant, Dinesh in middle order it was going to be hard for him to make a comeback which is never easy. He should have played one last T20I match as his farewell but then like Dhoni there was no farewell for Raina as well.

With Thala and China Thala focussing on IPL, CSK supporters would be hoping that both no 1 &2 for them will lit up the atmosphere and will combine to help the team in yellow to 4th IPL title.
