Abdulla Aboobacker was born on 17th Jan 1996 in Kerala. He was into athletics from an early age. He got into the discipline of the triple jump. Even at this young age, he has set his target of winning a medal for India at an International Athletic event.

Abdulla Aboobacker Professional Life:

It is safe to say that Aboobacker has been dominating the domestic triple jump circuit for a while now. He won gold at the Indian Military Services Championships., Pune in September 2019. He followed that up with a silver in Indian Open Championships., Ranchi. His stock just kept rising from there as he bagged silver at the Federation Cup Championships in Patiala. He almost breached the 17m mark in that tournament.

It was on 21st May 2022 in the Kalinga stadium in Bhubaneshwar that Aboobacker announced himself by clinching the gold medal by jumping 17.19m in the men’s triple jump at the Indian Grand Prix earning him qualification for the World Athletics Championships also. He joined an elite club of Indians to cross the 17m mark along with Karthik U.

Aboobacker is a strong medal contender for the commonwealth games 2022. He is in form of his life after winning the Indian Grand Prix and becoming only the third Indian to cross the 17m mark. After competing in the World Athletic Championships Aboobacker feels his best is yet to come which is great news for Indian fans. He has said in an interview that he is working hard on refining his technique for the Commonwealth Games.
