590 players will go under the hammer in upcoming IPL auction which will be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13th 2022

IPL being one of the top most league in the world is gearing up to host their 15th edition of marquee event at the end of March 2022 with existing franchises have retained few key players and for the upcoming IPL auction a total of 590 players will go under the hammer which will be conducted in Bengaluru on February 12th and 13th 2022.

Among 590 players,Β  228 are capped players 355 are uncapped players and 7 players belong to Associate country.

Franchise will be eyeing on few key Indian players including the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Deepak Chahar, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav.

Ten existing franchise will be focusing on top world talents including the likes of Faf du Plessis, David Warner, Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult, Quinton de Kock, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Holder, Dwayne Bravo, Shakib Al Hasan, Wanindu Hasaranga, etc. – in their squad.

Out of those 590 players , 48 players have chosen INR 2 Crore as their base price ahead of IPL auction 2022. Β 34 players have picked INR 1 crore as their base price.Β 

The current Indian under 19 team including the likes of Yash Dhull, Vicky Ostwal and Rajvardhan Hangarekar is expected to be picked at higher amount in the upcoming marquee event.

Marquee Players:Β R. Ashwin, Pat Cummins, Quinton de Kock, Trent Boult, Shikhar Dhawan, Faf du Plessis, Shreyas Iyer, Kagiso Rabada, David Warner, Mohammed Shami.

With the addition of two new franchise in the marquee event in form of Lucknow and Ahmedabad a total of 74 matches will be played instead of 60 which will be completed at the end of May 2022 with 5 teams each divided in two groups and eventually two top teams of both groups will emerge as semi-finalist and subsequently will play final to decide the winner of the marquee event.
