The right-arm leg spinner’s crucial spell had a significant impact on the match. His very first wicket was of MI’s skipper Hardik Pandya. This wicket was a crucial one as it broke the 56-run partnership between MI’s captain and Tilak Varma. Pandya was caught on the long-on when he was playing on 34.
The wily spinner strikes again in the 14th over. This time dismissing the dangerous-looking Tilak Varma for 32. This wicket put pressure on the remaining Mumbai batsmen, with all hopes resting on Tim David to provide a good late finish.
This was not it, Chahal cleverly trapped the pinch hitter Gerald Coetzee into playing a risky shot. This results in a comfortable catch for Shimron Hetmyer at cover.
