Tim David Early Life
Son of the former Singaporean cricketer, Rod David, Tim David was born and brought up in Singapore. The family moved from Australia in the 1990s where Rod David worked as an engineer. The player got access to Australian cricket facilities as the family moved to Perth in 1997 to avoid the Asian financial crisis.

Tim David Domestic Career
Tim David has not played a domestic game but has a lot of franchise cricket experience. The player has featured for several sides like Western Australia XI, Perth Scorchers, Hobart Hurricanes, Lahore Qalandars, Surrey, Saint Lucia Kings, Southern Brave, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians.
He started his T20 journey with Perth Scorchers in 2017/18. In the 2020/21 season, he signed a deal with Hobart Hurricanes. The player was roped in by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the UAE league following his PSL and CPL experiences. The player made his debut against Chennai Super Kings and became the first-ever Singaporean international to play in the Indian Premier League.
In the 2022 IPL Mega Auction, the player was roped in by Mumbai Indians after an intense bidding war. Mumbai Indians signed the player for a humongous 8.25 crore rupees. This is the highest price ever paid for a Singaporean in the history of IPL.
Tim David International Career
In July 2019, Tim David was added to the World Cup Asia Qualifier Tournament’s Regional Finals. He was again named in the Regional Final’s team and made his T20I debut for Singapore against Qatar.
Tim David was named again in the Malaysia Cricket World Cup Challenge League A Tournament. He was the highest run-scorer with 369 runs from five games.
