Winning the English Premier League not the primary target for Manchester United!

The type of evolution that Manchester United has gone through this season is a bright prospect for the upcoming seasons. Erik Ten Hag who was appointed last summer has done a good job with the side which had its identity beneath the feet of other clubs.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson left, Manchester United had been in huge turmoil and many managers came and went by but their fate remained the same. Their performance has improved very well and earned an outstanding win against Manchester City by 2-1.

However, in the following 2 PL matches, United won only 1 point with a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace and 3-2 by Arsenal at the Emirates. Their PL title charge is not realistically possible but chances of landing any other domestic cup could be on the cards.

Other than the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, the Red Devils will be primarily looking to earn qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Expecting Ten Hag to win the Domestic top-flight in his very first season and it was not even one of his objectives. They are currently 4th in the PL table with 12 wins and are level with 3rd placed Newcastle United on 39 points. Their summer signings have fired at time too with Christian Eriksen, Casemiro and Antony making an instant impact at the Old Trafford.

In the Carabao Cup, Manchester United will face Nottingham Forest tomorrow in the Semi-final and Reading FC in FA Cup 4th Round.
