Will Jacks, an all-rounder for England, got his first chance to play outside of England in a foreign franchise league, and the opening batter took full advantage of it, leaving the fans wanting more, especially in India where he is set to make his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Jacks, who presently has 270 runs at a staggering strike rate of 201 in the inaugural SAt20, further demonstrated why he is considered to be the next big thing in white-ball cricket after slamming a 19-ball half-century against MI Cape Town’s Sam Curran, Kagiso Rabada, Rashid Khan, and Jofra Archer.

Jacks blasted a magnificent six off Archer over his head during his ferocious innings. Fans saw a resemblance between Mark Nicholas’ shot and Virat Kohli‘s epic six in the India-Pakistan match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the T20 World Cup 2022.

A short-of-a-length delivery from Archer was bowled, and Jacks had positioned himself for the same. He took up the ball with his back foot and blasted it for a big six straight down the ground. Jacks came close to replicating Kohli’s stroke, even though Kohli’s was a touch more difficult because Haris Rauf’s delivery was pitched midway, making it more difficult to hit straight down for a six from that height—a feat that the India star accomplished relatively casually.

Jacks eventually scored 62 off 27 balls, and the supporters are eager to see what he can achieve for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, where he will play alongside Kohli.
